Homeware Haul

I’ve mentioned it once or twice on my blog, and like a thousand times on my Twitter, but I’m obsessed with homeware and interior design. I think it stems from my ugly student house and my flings with Pinterest, but I can’t say for certain. We’re trying not to buy anything for the flat I’m in at the minute because it’s small as hell and has zero surface and storage space, but when cute little homeware shop Evolution plastered closing down all over it’s website, I dragged Scott into town to buy a few things. I’d resisted buying things from there for a while and was genuinely sad to see they were closing down, but that didn’t mean I wasn’t going to take advantage of the sales.candles haul

Candles

Since discovering I like candles, I decided I needed loads of them to create a nice ambience. These look cute paired together, spaced out, just wherever really, and all four cost me under a tenner!

Oil Burner

This was also from Evolution, at a tiny £6! You put in some water, or carrier oil, with essential oil and a tea light in the bottom and the room smells all lovely. I have my eye on a few Yankee Candle tarts but as they cost way more than they should, we bought a tangerine essence oil to make the room smell fruity and fresh.

Rose Gold Pineapple

I had a little browse in Urban Outfitter’s home section as normally they have some cute stuff, but it was all the quirky gift things in store rather than proper homeware, so I popped into Joy on a whim and spotted this life size rose gold pineapple piggy bank and I couldn’t leave without it. Sure it was £18 and Scott literally didn’t understand what/ why/ where etc etc but I physically needed it in my life. There was only one there and I can’t find it online so I think it was meant to be, if I’m honest. I love rose gold and copper in interior décor, and I’m hoping I’ll find a few things to match this by the time I move into my new house.

Parisian shabby chic homeware

Tea, Coffee, and Sugar holders

How cute are these?! Our kitchen stuff is all red, and I want a pastel Parisian kitchen, so I’m slowly replacing everything. These were only £1.99 each from Home Bargains! And they’re god quality, I dropped one and not a scratch.

Jar Mug Thing

I’ve wanted something like this for ages, I have jar mugs already but none of a hat and straw, so I haven’t wanted to dish out a tenner for one. This was from POUNDLAND! For a whole £1! Crazy. There was also blue ones, but I quite liked that the lid design, with the colour, looked very orange juicey and wholesome. Perfect for those smoothies when I finally buy a good blender.

Milk Bottle Vase

I bought this milk jar a while ago from IKEA, but painted it a few weekends back when I was bored. It’s so easy to do, use sellotape to mark the lines and paint thin layers (I used a hairdryer to dry in between) then pull the tape off. I’m definitely going to try different patterns and colours on jars and see what I can make, as it’s so easy to do!

I’m also buying some new bedding and the pineapple lamp (I love pineapples, alright?) from this wish list on payday, eep!

What’ve you been buying lately?
