The Body Shop Skin Care Haul

I was invited to have a look around The Body Shop at their new Christmas stock, and I got a bit side tracked and bought some skin care products. Obviously. New season, new skin care and all that jazz. I have had my eye on quite a few things from The Body Shop recently, I don’t know whether they’ve been upping their game or what but between about 15 and 20 I don’t think I bought anything from there but the past two years I’ve just fallen back in love with them.

The Body Shop Haul

Vitamin E Aqua Boost Sorbet

This is actually a repurchase, as I love it so much! The sorbet has the lightest texture I’ve ever had in a moisturiser, and is super refreshing. Despite being so light, it is really hydrating and calming, and leaves a matte finish meaning it’s the perfect base.

Tea Tree Skin Clearing Toner

Like I said, my skin is pants. It is the most hormonal thing ever! I ran out of toner about a month ago and have been meaning to buy this, as I loved the Blemish Fade Night Lotion from the same range. I’ve used this a couple of times and it is lovely and refreshing after cleansing, I’ve not been using it enough to reap any spot busting benefits yet but it’s not at all drying on my skin.

Vitamin E Overnight Serum In Oil

I got this in the hope it would quench my skin through winter and help to tackle my acne scars gently. I’ve actually found it way too rich for my skin; just a few drops takes about three hours to absorb! I’ll be using this when my skin is really dry or dull, but it’s definitely not one I can use daily.

Camomile Silky Cleansing Oil

I forgot to photo this, so you’ll just have to pretend it’s there! I was going to get the cleansing balm from the same range, but the oil seemed like more product and therefore better value. I’ve never used a cleansing oil before, but you basically massage it in to dry skin and then wash off with water. I don’t really know how I feel about it so far… It removes skin makeup easily, but isn’t great at eye makeup, plus it takes ages to wash off all the foam it produces and so far I’ve ended up using my hot cloth cleanser to finish up.

I used to buy products from The Body Shop all the time, but in the past few years I’ve probably bought (not including these!) about four things, and three of those have been in the past six months! I do really like their products, so I’m not sure why. I think some of the body products are overpriced, but the skin care is normally okay!
