Rimmel Hide The Blemish / Review, Before & After

My skin is riddled with acne scars and pigment and I have yet found a way to cover them. I picked up this Rimmel Hide The Blemish concealer as a quick add on to whatever else I was buying at the time, without high hopes but short on time to do actual research.

I don’t really like stick concealers either, I have no idea why I bought this! I think I was distracted by the word ‘blemish’. I went for shade 103 (soft honey) which is actually a perfect match for my skin. When I was younger, I used to be obsessed with avoiding being orange so would go for ivory, I must have looked like a ghost! Hide The Blemish concealer has a good range of warm and cold shades so you should be able to get a good match.

The concealer itself is quite creamy and blends nicely into your skin, which is good for a concealer stick. On my skin, this works fine and sits well on the skin, but it’s a bit heavy for round my eyes and I find it cakes a bit around any lines, which I seem to have a lot of considering I am 21… It doesn’t do a very good job of covering my acne scars, but I don’t think that is really a fair trial. It does, however, work okay on smaller blemishes I occasionally get.

As you can see from the photos, it’s quite good at concealing small red blemishes, but my scars still come through. I’m not going to be buying this again, simply because my skin is too bad for it. If you’re looking for a medium coverage concealer and have normal to combination skin, this would be an alright option if you’re looking for a cheap, quick concealer.

Do you have any recommendations for heavy coverage concealer?
