Surface 2

I am not one for declaring my love for things but it’s been a looooooooong time since I’ve done a favourites post and I’ve accumulated a few new favourites since then. None of them are particularly beauty based, because I’ve been trying not to buy makeup when I still have some left in an attempt to sae money. It’s worked brilliantly, except that I have instead spent my money on pretty home things for my new house. Which, speaking of, I should have a beautiful two storey apartment with exposed brick and white walls and wood floors and oh my gosh jaw droppingly beautiful. Then someone got it before I even had a chance to look around or even speak to the estate agent! I’m still pretty bummed out about it if I’m honest.

Anyway, pity party over! Here are some things I can not get enough of right now.

Copper

I just can’t get enough of this beautiful colour. I bought a copper side table from Urban Outfitters for a tiny £45, when all other ones I’ve looked at were around £100 minimum. Considering most of the cushions on their site are £45, this table is a real bargain. I’ve also bought these copper spray paints and made the cutest little dinosaur topped mason jars, which I’ll be showing you the easy peasy tutorial for soon, and as there’s plenty of spray paint left I’m sure by the time I move out most of my possessions will be copper.

Surface

My old Surface kicked the bucket a few weeks ago and as my dad had fully insured it as a present for me, I sent it off for a replacement and to my complete joy, they replaced it with the new Surface Pro 3 that I’ve been lusting after for weeks. I had to pay to upgrade from the core i3 processor to core i5, and I bought the keyboard separately but who even cares because I’m now in possession of the cutest, suave little tablet laptop and can finally replace my stubborn Sony. I’ve not had the chance to really play around with this yet but it feels super sturdy, looks gorgeous and runs smoothly so far! Just need to get down to the horrid task of moving everything over now.

Dress 2

As a lover of all things sweet and retro, I was compelled to buy this bag after spotting it in a magazine. It’s actually from Next of all places, which I was really surprised about. When I think about Next, I don’t think about cool quirky clutch bags, that’s for sure! Unfortunately this gem has sold out but funky clutches are making a summer comeback and there are some gorgeous ones on New Look at the moment, including this adorable ice lolly clutch.

Rings

Now it’s starting to get a teensy bit warm and I no longer feel the need to wear gloves, I’ve started to enjoy wearing rings again. I was sent this Pandora Silver Star Stacking Ring* and Pandora Silver & Black Enamel Ring* a while ago and love how dainty they both are. All of my nice rings are silver and I love layering up different ones together so the fact these can be worn on the same finger, or on separate ones if I fancy, is perfect. The moon ring is from the Christmas before last (eep!) from Shop Dixi.

Vampire Diaries1

To say I am obsessed with Vampire Diaries is an actual understatement. I spent basically all of uni ridiculing my friends for watching it because I thought it would be Twilight-y but boy was I wrong. I decided, on a hungover whim, to give it a go and ended up watching 13 episodes back to back. Since then, I’ve watched nearly four full seasons in three weeks by basically spending every moment when I’m not at work watching this. Thank you, Netflix! And thank you whoever cast Ian Somerhaulder as Damon because his smouldering eyes are making my life 100x better.

I am also enjoying the fact that it’s only four weeks until I go on holiday! Although I will not be having a bikini body in the aesthetic sense sadly. Too many events and stressful periods which have made me realise (once again) that trying to lose weight on a time scale makes me panic and binge. Yay, healthy minds LOL no. I’m just focusing on improving my body image and not wanting to die over the thought of baring all on a beach instead. I’ll probably spend most of my holiday in a cocktail haze anyway so who even cares?

What have you been loving lately my beautiful friends?
