I’ll be honest, Sample Sunday nearly didn’t make it this week. My friends came down for Halloween and I was not feelin my freshest writing this post up! I’ve actually tried this weeks sample, Creme De La Mer the oil absorbing lotion, quite a few times thanks to the sample size.
I don’t actually know if this is a moisturiser, it literally is described an oil absorbing lotion. Helpful! I have combination skin, so whilst my face isn’t exactly oily there can be a little sheen occasionally so I’ve been using this after moisturising before nights out to help mattify my skin. As soon as I’ve rubbed it in, any shine that was on my face has completely one. Instantly! It provides a lovely matte finish, without losing any moisture from my face, making an ideal base for makeup. When wearing it, it definitely takes longer for my skin to shine up too.
After getting on with the oil absorbing lotion so well, I googled it and was beyond gobsmacked by the price; 50ml costs a whopping £165! Let’s just say, I don’t like it that much. I’ve used mattifying moisturisers before and I don’t think this was particularly that much better. It’s good, but I really wouldn’t say it’s worth the price at all. You could try 10 mattifying moisturisers, which would cost around the same price, and find something equally as good!
If you do happen to be a millionaire, you can buy the oil absorbing lotion here. I would also like some of your millions please!
