When all the hippy psychedelic vibes started to hit the high street this summer, I wasn’t sure how I felt about it all. On the one hand, seriously stunning colours and patterns. On the other hand? Unless I’m at a festival, I’m more of a black on black kinda gal. It’s one of those trends though that, the more I’ve been exposed to it the more confident I am that I could actually wear it. Although I am still against flares, sorry but that is not a trend I am in to. I vividly remember owning a pink pair of flared jeans when I was maybe 11, and I cannot get past this image so I will never be venturing into the bell bottomed end of fashion again.
Boohoo got in touch to see if I wanted to be part of their 70’s Vibe Blogger Collaboration, and I thought it would be quite fun to create my perfect boho outfit. Obviously summer is sadly coming to an end (not that we had much of a beginning or middle) so I’ve chosen pieces which are transitional while the weather cools off, but still 70’s enough to be on trend. I’ve even managed to stick to a fairly neutral colour palette, don’t you think? There was actually some stunning colourful dresses and tops but I’m staying true to myself because it would just be another piece of clothing that sits beautiful but unused in my wardrobe.
What do you think about the 70’s trend? Hell yeah or no way?
