A Halloween Collab

I’ve never really been a Halloween fan, if I’m truly honest. Costumes are either expensive, rubbish, or only suitable for model figures so I always end up being some rubbish like a cat or witch. Neither scary or original. This year however, I’ve really got into thriller TV series which has kind of got me excited for the dressing up part, plus my friends are coming down to go out and I wanted to actually make an effort. I have a cute skeleton crop top so decided a skeleton attire would be easy and pretty cool, and after youtubing a few tutorials I figured it would actually be pretty easy to do.

Note, this is probably the only tutorial I will ever do. I’m basically better at a skeleton makeup than real makeup!

Daisy from DaisyDaisyxxo and me decided to do a collab for our blogs, and we thought Halloween would be a really good one to do, so while I’ve done a skeleton tutorial she’s done an awesome pop art look so make sure you check her out after!

This is the easiest tutorial ever, and uses literally three products: white face foundation, a black pencil eyeliner, and black eyeshadow. I also used a cheap eyeshadow brush and an eyeliner brush.

1. Prep your skin. I used a white cream makeup from a really cheap Halloween kit, but a light foundation would work too as you’re going to cover it up.

As you can see, I suffer from chronic bitch face syndrome!

2. Using an image as a guideline, draw the eye sockets, nose, skull outline and cheek hollows with the black eyeliner

3. Colour in using the eyeshadow, and then use the eyeliner brush to draw on faint lines where the teeth would meet

4. To draw the teeth, I actually individually drew crooked teeth like shapes. You can do straight lines and give each line a little v but this way looks a bit more realistic!

5. Using what’s left on the eyeshadow brush, lightly add colour to the whole face and blend in. Blend any crevices where there are obvious bones, such as the brow bone, and blend a light line where the teeth would meet the skull. Fill in any sparse areas that need a bit more colour and you’re done!

As you can see, this is literally the easiest tutorial ever, but actually looks pretty decent! Because of the skull outline it looks a lot more impressive with your hair down but mine was mega greasy when I shot this, so I’ve included a picture with my hood up so you can see the effect it gives.

I look like a man in this picture! A thuggish, skeletal man. Awkward!
