I am a huge fan of heroin chic eyes. I am also a huge fan of minimum effort makeup. So a rose gold-y copper eyeshadow stick which allows me to give my eyes a little pizazz on a week day in under two minutes is definitely something I can get on board with. I was browsing Boots (dangerous, don’t do it kids) on payday and came across this little gem by Rimmel.
The pen itself looks simple and classic, and I love how the silver Kate sig looks on the side. It’s fatter than an eyeliner, and the formula is rich and creamy and just slides on your eye without hurting or dragging. It leaves a good amount of product, although it’s quite a lot lighter than the packaging would have you believe! It’s best used for a subtle copper tint rather than a dramatic bold look, which is why it’s quickly become a firm favourite in my every day makeup routine. I use this over my lid and underneath my lower lashes for a soft romantic look which gives my eyes a nice definition.
When I want a bolder look, I use this on the inner corner of my eyelids, Maybelline Colour Tattoo in Metallic Pomegranate on the outer half and blend. It’s a very burnt look which I just love!
Have you tried eye shadow pencil sticks before? What are your thoughts?
