Moroccan Oil Review

Moroccan oil is one of the brands I have been wanting to try for absolutely ages. It’s a pretty hefty price tag though, so I’ve never got round to getting one. The lovely Michelle from Thou Shalt Not Covet offered to do a beauty swap for some Sleek eye palettes I had but had never got round to using. After packaging off my Sleek palette’s, I waited excitedly to receive the oil.

Moroccan Oil Review

The glass bottle for Moroccan oil looks very medicinal, like those nasty syrups you were forced to drink when you had a cough. However, Moroccan oil smells really sweet and nutty. It’s an amazing smell, like a subtle Nutella. Nom. When you get past the smell, it’s a thick orange oil. You only need less than a fingertip of oil, which you do the usual warm up in hands and apply from the end to mid length of your hair.

Despite the fact that this is quite a thick oil, it doesn’t weigh down your hair or leave it looking greasy at all. It also doesn’t make you need to wash your hair more often. What it does do is make your hair extremely soft, tame down any frizz and split ends, and smooth your hair. It is seriously nourishing, and works a lot better than cheaper argon oil serums. You can see your hair looks and feels visibly softer after a few uses, and moroccan oil helps to repair the hair and defend against future hair damage so it’s just continually working to strengthen hair.

I wasn’t sure whether I would repurchase this or not as it is so expensive. This tiny 25ml bottle costs around £13! But I have decided I actually will. Although it is expensive, a little goes a long way and I only wash my hair once or twice a week so this tiny bottle will last me a long time.

Have you tried Moroccan oil? Or do you have something even better?!
