My dad works for Hotel Chocolat. Annoyingly, he started when I started university so I have never been home to take full advantage of this fact, but whenever I am home I raid whatever is in the kitchen. This weekend, it was cocoa tea, as my step mum had bought some afternoon tea biscuits and didn’t want the tea included, but you can buy Hotel Chocolat Cocoa Infused Tea bags on their own as well. It is made of crushed, roasted cocoa shells and the tea bags smell of dark chocolate.
It smells like melted dark chocolate once brewed (four minutes steeping), and has a chocolate-y taste, but isn’t hugely flavoured. It’s quite nice though, I feel like it would make a good bedtime drink, or a way of satisfying your chocolate craving without calories!. I won’t be buying them, but I will be stealing some from home!
