Argan Dew* Replenishing Hair Mask & Oil

I love natural oils in beauty. My favourite is coconut oil, but I also like almond oil, castor oil and olive oil. I haven’t really tried argon oil properly, as the high end products tend to be quite expensive, so when I saw Argan Dew wanted to work with bloggers, I jumped at the chance.

I hadn’t heard of Argan Dew before, which is because they are quite new. However, a quick look at the website shows all of their products are free from parabens and sulphates, and contain other beauty ingredients like jojoba oil.
I was sent PR samples of the Miraculous Argan oil and the replenishing hair mask to try, and I really put them to the test as I used these after a night out that had caused my hair to basically dread!

Replenishing hair mask: Containing argon oil, jojoba oil and shea butter. These were sent in 10ml sachets. I was kind of disappointed by how small each sachet was; I have mid to long hair and excessively overuse conditioner so I thought I would have to use quite a few but actually, the conditioner is really rich and creamy and managed to spread from my roots to my ends. (I don’t normally use conditioner on my roots but I had a run in with some fake GHDs which have frazzled my fringe and it needs extra attention). As well as being really thick, the conditioner has a deep, nutty sort of smell. Nothing too fragrant, just a warm aroma. I left it in for five minutes as per instructions before washing it out. My hair did feel nicely conditioned, the hair shafts felt very smooth while rinsing it out.

Once I’d towel dried my hair (patting, not rubbing ;) ) I moved on to the Argan Dew oil. This came in a piddling 3.5ml, but again I was surprised by how little I needed! It’s a very thick oil, almost to the point it’s sticky at first, but once you’ve rubbed it in your palm it melts into a nice oil. I used this mid hair to ends, and found half the pack was sufficient enough as it’s so thick.

I was too excited to let me hair dry natural so I blow dried it. At first, I was worried that the oil was too heavy for my hair but as I started to dry it I realised it wasn’t an issue. My hair is quite thick though so I’d be cautious if you have fine hair!

Once my hair was all dry, it did look and feel healthier than normal. The ends especially seemed a lot less ratty and more conditioned than usual, which I think is a good sign of a conditioner and oil if it seems healthier in one use. I’m sure with more uses, this would improve thanks to the argon oils properties!

I actually do think I will buy the replenishing hair mask when I run out of samples (luckily I got sent quite a few and I rarely wash my hair so they should last a while!) as it seems really high end and only costs £15 ($23) for 400ml. I’m not sure whether I will get the hair oil, only because it is more expensive ($39 for 100ml) and where I take relatively good condition of my hair, I find using oils on a regular basis is too much for it. I do think it is worth the money if you have really damaged hair but I just don’t. I would like to try the other products though, which includes shampoo, conditioner, hair mask and serum.

The website also gives you the option to buy Argan Dew samples for $1.99, so if you don’t believe me when I say these products are really good, go try them yourself :)
