When I was in school and didn’t know much about different makeup brands, what I did know was that Simple was THE brand you wanted if you wanted to be kind to your skin. I think this must be an age thing, because my little sister seems to have a lot of Simple products as well. I found Simple Kind to Skin + in her room when I was looking for cotton wool pads (con of visiting home, I have nothing I need) and decided to give it a try.
As with all Simple products, it has nothing in that can be harsh or damaging to your skin. It also contains SPF30, vitamin E, vitamin B3, glycerin and sweet almond oil. I actually looked up what glycerin was as it sounded pretty dodgy, but it works to seal in moisture. Interestingly, it can also be used to make dynamite in a different form!
It’ a 50m bottle with a pump dispenser (my favourite type of dispenser as it allows you to control the amount you get) and the cream is really rich and thick, but still fluid enough to be a moisturising lotion. A little bit also goes a long way, which surprised me because normally thicker creams don’t absorb as easily but this sank in like a little dream.
My favourite part about this cream is that it actually has quite a matte effect! I didn’t expect it at all, as it’s so rich, but it really does. That, and the SPF30 as so many of my face products are said to increase my sensitivity to the sun, means that I am going to buy this for myself the next time I am in town. It’s not often I really love a product after one use but this does everything I need really: moisturisers, protects, and sets a matte base for the day. Lavvvely.
