My Crabtree & Evelyn handcream has been running low or a while and as much as I love it, it’s quite expensive so I decided to look elsewhere to restock. I’ve had my eyes on The Body Shop hand creams for a while because the tubes are huge and they’re only £5, down from £10.
There is a few different flavours available, ranging from fruity flavours such as strawberries, random flavours such as hemp, absynthe (although why anyone would get this is beyond me), and nutty flavours, like the almond one I decided on. I used to be a fruity fan, but as I’ve grown older I’ve become more into earthy products (such as The Body Shop olive body scrub & butter) plus almond oil has really good moisturising properties.
I love this tin type of tube packaging for hand creams, as it really allows you to squeeze every last drop out. The only thing is if you fold it over, the foil breaks and you can get hand cream leaking out so avoid it as long as possible! The packaging here looks really luxuirous, and I think the colour really compliments the whole organic, fair trade nutty product thing going on!
The hand cream itself is gorgeous. Really, really nourishing without being greasy or slimy. The moisturiser sinks into your skin really quickly, but leaves no tell-tale signs of dry cuticles or rough patches of skin. It also smells lovely, a really subtle roasted nutty smell. Gorgeous.
I carry this around in my bag all the time and use it regularly, and can’t get enough of it. I wish that they did a smaller tube I could keep in my pocket for when I work, as my hands dry out loads and I can’t keep a huge tube on the shop floor! That being said, you do get a lot for your money so it could be worth getting a small tube of hand cream for on the go(I do suggest Crabtree & Evelyn, they are gorgeous) and use The Body Shop hand cream for when you’re at home, or have access to a desk, drawer or bag
What are your go to hand creams?
