Espa / Pro Serum
I won this Espa Pro Serum from the lovely Michelle over at Thou Shalt Not Covet: my second blog win! I’ve not heard of Espa before (I am pretty un-knowledgeable about brands to be honest) but I really like this serum.
This serum is a treatment oil and is meant to help brighten and even skin tone, enhance elasticity, firm and protect against premature aging. I swear all of my beauty products I own at the moment is anti-aging or for youthful skin, I suppose you can never start too early!
The packaging is very spa-esque, with gorgeous pinks and purples. The serum comes in a purple ombre glass bottle, very suave, and has a pipette with a button rather than squeezy lid. Annoyingly it doesn’t pick up a lot of serum but then you don’t need that much for just your face, you would have to do an extra pipette for your neck and chest though.
The serum is enriched with Omega 3, 6 and 9, tumeric, white lupin and sunflower, and is just to be used after cleansing and before moisturising, standard serum instructions. It smells gorgeous! Rich and aromatic and again, very spa like. The serum is also very rich and luxurious, it’s non greasy but it leaves a sheen on my face so I only use it at night. If you have dry skin, it probably wouldn’t be an issue for you to use in your morning routine though.
I haven’t noticed a huge change in my complexion since I stared using this but my skin does feel a lot less dehydrated- I normally get quite dry cheeks during winter and I’ve not had a problem since using this! It does feel incredibly rich and hydrating, and I feel like my skin does get a good amount of nourishment from it, more so than other serums I’ve used.
Overall, I really like this serum. My skin feels more nourished and hydrated and I’m hopeful that in the long run it will help even out my acne scarring! It is a bit too rich for me to use on a daily basis but I think if you have dry skin, it would be an absolute saviour for your skin. I really appreciate winning this so make sure you check out Thou Shall Not Covet!
