I love pizza. Who doesn’t!? But I am also trying to lose a few pounds and the average pizza is not going to help me! This recipe is something I’ve used for the past year or so whenever I’ve had a craving for pizza during my attempts to be healthy. It makes a perfect light lunch for at home, or when a light snack won’t do but you aren’t quite ready for a full meal. Plus it’s delicious!
Ingredients per pizza
1 wrap- square wraps work better as they are thicker, however normal wraps can be used
1 tablespoon tomato puree
1 tablespoon tomato ketchup
1/2 tablespoon garlic puree
1/2 tablespoon herbs- if you have mixed or Italian herbs, perfect, if not parsley, oregano and basil work nicely
30g grated cheese
Toppings- anything you would put on a real pizza
If you want a barbeque base, replace half of the ketchup with one tablespoon barbeque sauce and half a tablespoon ketchup.
Preheat your oven to 220. To make the sauce for one pizza, mix the ketchup, tomato and garlic puree and herbs together. Spread this over the wrap, then sprinkle over 3/4 of your cheese. If you have any toppings, add these and then sprinkle the rest of the cheese over. Pop in the oven for about 8-12 minutes and it’s done! Easy peasy
Have you ever made these? I love healthy alternatives to food so let me know if you have any recipes!
