It’s no secret I am unashamedly bad at applying liquid eyeliner. I find it much easier to use a felt liner than a traditional one, especially as I have to do really thin, barely there lines due to the fact my eyes are quite hooded. Or, at least my right eye is. I picked up Eyeko Skinny Liquid Eyeliner in Company magazine, quite a long time ago. In fact, the only reason I haven’t got around to this review earlier is because I don’t use it.
I absolutely loved the casing of this, I love matte metalics and I just think it looks really sleek. The nib is a lot fatter and more felt tip like than the eyeliner I am used to (Maybelline Master Precise Liquid Eyeliner) which is what I think lets it down. The pointy bit is kind of tufty and dry, so doesn’t leave a lot of eyeliner actually on the skin. The only way to get past this is to really press down hard, which a) I wouldn’t do on my eyelids and b) leaves a patchy line.
Saying this, I’ve seen a lot of positive reviews so it might be just this particular one, or perhaps just me! Let me know if you’ve tried it
Although this has been disappointing, I’ve had similar issues with other pen liners. While I have been using Seventeen’s Tattoo Me liquid eyeliner and I am getting better at it, I do find pen liners easier so I am still on the hunt for the perfect one!
If you have any suggestions for what my next eyeliner should be, or how to become a liquid eyeliner Guru, let me know!
