I have never found a mascara that I have bought and thought, this is the one, so when I was contacted and asked if I would like to try some makeup from Monu, I headed straight down the mascara route and tried the JVG Mineral Mascara*.
What it claims:
Lengthen the lashes in an instant.
Defines the eye by lifting, separating and thickening eyelashes for maximum volume.
Ensures eyelashes are naturally enhanced, leaving them looking full and healthy all day long.
The wand is kinda hourglass shaped, and is made up of short soft bristles. The shape is actually a perfect fit for the base of your eyelashes, so when you’re applying it, it hugs your lashes and fans them out. It also helps to curl the eyelashes away from the eye, leaving your eyes looking a lot more open and defined. The tube does a really good job of scraping off excess mascara, so while it does coat each lash, it doesn’t deposit a huge amount of mascara meaning you need two or three coats to really define each eyelash. The good news about this is it doesn’t leave any clumps, and it doesn’t leave any excess mascara on your eyelids.
I definitely think this mascara lives up to it’s claims. It is pretty much the perfect mascara if you prefer long, natural lashes over thick, heavy eyelashes. It basically accentuates and defines your eyelashes, without making it look like you have lashings of mascara on. I’ve been wearing this pretty much every day since I got it, although I do go elsewhere if I am going somewhere special and need attention drawing to my eyes.

Doesn’t really add volume
You can get this mascara for £10.95 here. I do think £11 is quite expensive for a naturalistic mascara, however I actually find the JVG mascara is really similar to Clinique High Impact Mascara so if you’re willing to spend money on a more natural mascara, definitely give it a go!
