New York Colour Big Bold Lashes / Review & Pictures

I don’t know about you, but without mascara I basically look like a 12 year old boy. A natural blonde, my eyelashes are quite long but the ends are invisible to the naked eye without lashings of mascara. I tend to go steer towards volumising mascara, as my lashes are long but can be sparse if you catch me on the wrong end of my lash life cycle.

I got this New York Colour Big Bold Lashes mascara when NYC was doing a 3 for 2 (I also got foundation and eyeshadow). NYC is pretty cheap, even by drugstore standards, so I got all three for a tenner. The mascara on its own only sets you back £3.99!

Despite its cheapness, I really like this this product. I’m not usually a fan of soft bristled wands as I find they don’t leave much mascara on, but this adds both length and volume to my lashes, and isn’t the least bit clumpy. That’s the dream, isn’t it? Thick eyelashes without the spider leg effect.

My only negative is the brush is quite big so it’s hard to get in the corners of your eyes, and if you’re clumsy (which I am) you often end up having to wipe off excess mascara off your eyelids. However, I find that is a small price to pay considering the small price the mascara costs!
