Payday is undoubtedly the best day of the month. Once credit cards and overdrafts have been paid off, of course. February payday weekend was spent in Stevenage for my friends birthday, and despite bringing up a few outfits for the night out, I decided I hated everything I owned and went shopping.
I don’t usually go into New Look, just because in Leeds it is out of the way and I can’t be bothered, but my friend wanted to check their bags so I had a little browse and found this gem. I like shift dresses because, being a bigger boobed gal, I don’t have to worry about them straining over my chest. I loved the pattern and colour, a nice update the usual 60s shift dress look. Plus I think with the right accessorising, this can be both a casual and going out dress. At only £25, it was pretty reasonably priced too.
I had a sneak peak in a charity shop and found this lilac jumper. I really want to start incorporating pastels into my outfits, but most pastel clothes in the shops are for spring and would be way to cold, so this jumper is perfect- warm and pastel-ly! It’s from M&S, and was basically unworn. It’s meant to be a size 18 but it would be a very snug fit, I would imagine. It makes a perfect oversized fit for a size 10 though! And for only £3.50, bargain.
I’ve been wanting to try Make Up Academy’s matte red lipstick for ages but can never find it in stock, so when I spotted it in Superdrug I ran over and nabbed it. I also got this plum colour for the night out, you can’t say no for £1! I already have two MUA lipsticks (review) and really like the quality anyway.
I’ve had a burning urge to shop for ages so this was a nice little treat for myself, and it came to just over £30 so I didn’t actually spend that much, especial for what I got! I also bought some castor oil online, I’ve never used it before but I’m interested to see how it compares to coconut oil. Will keep all you keen beans updated
What did you treat yourself to this payday?
