I went out for my friend’s birthday recently and wore this ensemble. I bought the dress in New Look especially for the occasion as I fell in love with its vibrant colours and groovy (yes, groovy) pattern, without being TOO much. Plus shift dresses are one of the few dresses I can wear with my slightly larger than life bust.
I hate wearing heels on nights out so opted for these boots, I think they go with the dress a lot better than heels would as well, don’t you? They are from Topshop, I got them for Christmas off the boyf and love them. They’re still in store if you want a paid, my sister actually got some after she saw mine, cheeky git. I didn’t want cold feet so I wore some frilly ankle socks which I was pressured into buying at work. I also have a black pair with a white frill which are so cute.
The denim jacket is a charity shop buy, it’s too big and not the nicest one I have (I have four) but it’s the only one I keep in Stevenage and it was too cold to go out jacketless.
I was pretty happy with my outfit actually, not too dressy but definitely not casual. A bit quirky and cool, like me obviously! In all seriousness though, I love this dress and will be wearing it both day and night.
