Meat Free Month (ish)

Hello lovelies, hope you are all well!

Me and my friend decided to go back on a Teatox (read my Teatox review) but actually take it seriously this time. (I may have not been as healthy as I could have last time!). Bootea suggests that you steer clear of meat while on their Teatox, as it releases toxins that they are trying to clear blah blah, but actually going meat free is a good way to lose weight so decided to jump on the bandwagon.

I am in no way meat obsessed anyway, I was vegetarian for six months during college, which I only gave up because it was insanely hard to get hold of versatile vegetarian food while out every lunch time. I am 90% meat free when I go home over the holidays as my step mum is vegetarian so the house is full of Quorn and tofu food, and I only don’t go vegetarian at university because you can get meat really cheap in Leeds from the markets.

I will only be doing my Teatox for two weeks, but the plan is to stay vegetarian (or peskatarian really because I love salmon way too much) for as long as possible. I use Quorn mince as a mince replacement the majority of the time because it’s healthier, which I have to admit is my main appeal to being vegetarian. I also like the taste of Quorn: yeah it doesn’t taste like meat but if you don’t compare it, it’s lovely! I am also going to Reds True BBQ next week so I can’t guarantee I won’t have something there, but I hope you all won’t judge me for that!

What are your thoughts on going meat free for a period of time? Or is even meat free Mondays to much without meat for you?

Oh wow I so couldn’t do this! You have way more determination than me aha I think I just love meat too much. My mums vegetarian but dad and boyfriend are of the opinion that without meat it isn’t a real meal aha! So I definitely couldn’t live without it

Good luck with your meat free month!
