Nivea In Shower Moisturiser

I’m really lazy so when it comes to my after shower routine, the less I have to do, the better. Bit of coconut oil on my face and hair ends and I’m happy leaving my usual routine until bed time. I hate moisturising my body straight after a shower. It’s always too cold! My instinct is to dry off as quickly as possible, throw on my fleeciest pyjamas and hide under the covers until the heating comes on, but this comes at the cost of having dry skin on my legs (although strangely enough, nowhere else) so I was quite excited when Nivea brought out their in shower moisturiser. I know it was a while ago that it came out but I’ve had a huge stash of shower gels and separate moisturisers, and limited money the past few months so it was low on my list of priorities.

Nivea In Shower Moisturiser Review

There is a version for normal skin, and a version for dry skin. I would class my skin as normal over dry, but the dry skin version contains almond oil which is a favourite of mine, whereas the normal version contains sea minerals, and I’m not too fussed about that. Both are free of artificial what nots, which is always good.

The shower gel (moisturiser?) smells exactly like the small blue pot of Nivea crème. I ADORE this smell. Like seriously, when I was younger I tasted it because I love the smell so much. FYI, it doesn’t taste anywhere near as good as it smells. It says to use this after you’ve used your normal shower gel, so once I’d washed and scrubbed, I applied the moisturiser gel and left it to soak for a minute before rinsing it off and getting out the shower.

Once I’ve dried off I give my legs a feel, as they are normally the driest part of me, and actually I’m slightly surprised to find they do feel really moisturised. Even my knees aren’t dry! Plus my skin is really softly fragranced of Nivea which is amazing (for me anyway). All of me feels incredibly soft. I’m really impressed. I can see how it works, as I know wet skin absorbs moisturiser faster (I’ve always put my moisturiser on when I’m still damp from the shower) but I didn’t expect it to work this well. I’m glad I went for the dry skin version, as my skin doesn’t feel over moisturised, just nicely so. I’d still probably moisturise my legs on a day to day basis, and if I was thinking of using fake tan I’d give my whole body a once over, but it is perfect for those parts of my I don’t moisturise on a day to day basis. I’m glad I bought the bigger bottle!
