These days, you can’t pick up a magazine without a bunch of samples falling out and littering the floor. I barely even look at them anymore before storing them in my little sample pot! So I’ve decided I am going to use them all up and let you beauties know what I think of them. After all, they’re either going to be rubbish, in which case, good riddance, or amazing, in which case I have discovered a new must have!
So, first up to test was Clarins Hydra Quench tinted moisturiser in Blond. Despite the fact it clearly says it’s a tinted moisturiser, I didn’t realise and was quite surprised at the colour. Even after my initial shock, I felt the colour was very orange and the consistency looked very thick.
It took a bit of elbow grease to rub in evenly, which I probably wouldn’t have noticed if I had an actual colour match rather than a sample. Once rubbed in, the moisturiser is no longer orange. Thankfully! It’s a very dewy finish, and my skin looked really plump and glowy afterwards, which tends to be a sign of a good moisturiser! It doesn’t cover any flaws even remotely, but I wouldn’t expect coverage from a tinted moisturiser.
Tinted moisturisers are something that I used when I was about 13 and didn’t need any help with radiating my skin, but as far as tinted moisturisers go I am actually impressed with how this plumps and mattifies my skin. Saying that, it’s £30 for a bottle and it only comes in seven shades so I can’t say I’d recommend it personally.
Pros:
Makes skin look really healthyDewy finish
SPF 15
Cons:
No coverage
Expensive for what is essentially a moisturiser
