I said last week I’m running low on samples, but I didn’t say that I wasn’t really feeling inspired by the series anymore. I used to be so excited to try a new sample, whereas nowadays I get to Saturday night and have to try a sample out, so today’s post is really a good bye to Sample Sunday. I’ve been doing this series for nearly six months! If you’ve missed out on the series, here’s a few highlights!
Aestelance / NARS / MAC / Rimmel / Maybelline Green People
Although I am fed up of the series now, I have really enjoyed trying out new samples (and I’ve bought quite a few of them!) and having a weekly series has been quite fun, but I don’t think I’ll be sticking to a strict Sunday series any more. I’ve started a Fitness Friday series, and I don’t want my blog to just become rigid topics, but I do have a few topics in mind I’ll probably gravitate towards to fill this spot!
I’ve been really enjoying cooking and baking lately (I actually want to start my own food blog but it’s a lot of effort!) so I’ll probably use some Sundays to blog about new recipes I’ve been trying. I’m not on about just mid week dinner kind of recipes. Recently, I’ve made flatbread, garlic pita bread, black bean burgers, garlic hummus, black bean brownies, chocolate cake, bulgar-stuffed mushrooms with creamy butterbeans… All sorts! They might not all be low calorie, but knowing that the food I’m eating is full of nutritious ingredients, without nasty preservatives and additives is good enough for me - plus, homemade food tastes 100x better!
I’ll probably also use some Sunday’s to reflect on my week. I’ve seen a few blogs that use Sunday’s to sum up the positive things from the week, and I think it’s a really cute idea! I can definitely be a pessimist at times, so looking back at my week and the things I’m grateful for should stop the ‘why is it always me’ moments that occasionally occur.
The rest of the Sunday’s? Who knows what I’ll use them for. Whatever I want, I guess! You’ll just have to wait to find out
What have you been blogging about lately?
