The past few months of deadlines, exams and third year uni stress has meant that my usual routine of eating healthy and regular gym completely deteriorated into toast, chocolate and late nights, and I’ve been feeling so unhealthy and horrible and down about it! I’ve started going back to wearing baggy clothes because I don’t want people to realise I’ve put on some weight! So when I saw Beth from Beauty in Beta tweeting that she and a few other bloggers were going to start making healthier choices and documenting it using #healthyselves I knew I had to be involved.
I’ve started Slimming World (properly – handed over the money and everything!) and have created an Instagram account Indiasslimworld to document my food and fitness journey! I feel so much more motivated knowing that I have the support of other bloggers, it’s harder to fail when you’re doing something as a group! If you want to get involved, definitely do as I think it’s great to support each other!
I used to be a size 14 and got down to a size 8 – 10, but I let uni stress become an excuse to make poor choices and have crept up to a size 10 – 12. Not that it’s a big size but for me, I just feel uncomfortable in my clothes and my own skin and I want to do something about it! Alongside Slimming World, I will be going to the gym 3 – 5 times a week, doing a combination of HIIT and weight training!
