Favouite Beauty Products #1

I haven’t ever done a beauty favourites on my blog, but there is a few products I really love at the moment and thought I’d share with you all. I know most people do it as like, favourite products of THIS month and THAT month etc, but I’m just doing my RIGHT NOW favourites.

Old Wives Tails Melado Organic Hair Growth Oil*

Old Wives Tails is a hair company which makes organic, handmade hair products, and donates 10% of it’s profit to charities against animal testing. As well as being cute and ethical, the hair growth oil is such good quality and I love using it. It has a botanical smell, I want to say similar to rosemary? I love herby smells though so it’s absolutely perfect for me. It’s not sticky like some oils, and because it only needs to be rubbed into the roots (as that is where it delivers the nutrients too) I don’t have to over shampoo my whole hair after a treatment, and my roots are left soft and springy once it’s washed off. I’d love to try the masks, and I definitely hope they expand to shampoos and skincare in the future!

ORLY Primetime Nail Primer

I picked this up for £2.99 in TK Maxx and it was the best purchase ever. Normally my nails chip in the first day of painting but with this, they last up to five full days! I feel like this is genuinely life changing. I stopped painting my nails for ages as I was fed up of them chipping and looking tatty, but now I can go back to painting them! Yay.

Heal Gel Face*

I originally got Heal Gel when I saw all the reviews about it helping with acne scarring, and they sent me a replacement when mine got lost in airport security (as you do!). I use this after cleansing and before moisturising and I have seen such a big difference in the texture of my skin; it’s much more plump and smooth and the surface looks a lot more refined. Some days when my skin is a bit happier, I can use just this as a moisturiser and it manages fine. I’ve seen a small difference in my scars, nothing huge but I’m a lot less insecure about them nowadays. At £48, I’m not sure if it is something I’ll buy again but I do love it.

Real Techniques buffing brush

I’ve gone from never using makeup brushes to being in love with them. I bought the Real Techniques Core Collection, but this is my favourite. I use it to buff in my foundation and it just leaves a flawless finish, to the point I look air brushed in comparison to when I just used my hands or a sponge.

The Body Shop Vitamin E Aqua Boost Sorbet

I bought this moisturiser after seeing a good review on it and I’m so glad I did. It’s a strange, gel like texture and is so soothing on the skin it is unreal. It also leaves my skin moisturised, plump, healthy and smooth, and is just honestly the perfect moisturiser for me. It sets a perfect base for makeup and nourishes my skin without being too heavy. What more could I want?

The Body Shop Tea Tree Night Lotion

I bought this along with my Vitamin E sorbet because the heat was making me break out. Within a week, my breakouts were nearly gone and I hadn’t got any new ones. It’s not too heavy that I can’t use it underneath moisturiser, and I don’t wake up with greasy skin. Absolute skin saviour.

The Body Shop Tea Tree Blemish Fade Lotion review

It’s not often I get really impressed with beauty products (hence the lack of favourite products) and very rarely I stay loyal to one product but I definitely will be repurchasing all of these, as they’ve all improved my routine and beauty health.
