After taking a long break away from Apple, I am back and booming with an iPhone 5c. And to go with it, a brand new phone case* from Mr Nutcase. For me, a phone case is always a necessity. I drop phones faster than hot potatoes, so a good phone case and a screen protector are an absolute must have.
Buying a phone case is a lot trickier than you might think. Not only does it protect your phone baby, it reflects your personal style. The cheaper cases are often ugly, and the more expensive cases can be tacky, unless they’re from a cute artist or etsy shop. Mr Nutcase have a collection of designs, ranging from simple polka dots to scenic photography. More interestingly, they have the option to design your own which is the same price as the pre-designed ones.
I’m not much of a photographer, so I decided to use an internet picture rather than one of my own. You can choose from a whole range of layouts for if you want more than one picture, but I went for a picture of Rapunzel’s painting in Tangled. Yes, I am a HUGE Tangled fan. It’s my joint favourite film (with Frozen being the other joint favourite, and all of Marvel films coming in at a close second and so on), and I just love the whole floating lights – lantern thing going on in the picture.
There is three options of casing (for iPhones anyway, not sure about all you other device users out there!). I got the ultra-light weight slim line, which is less fitted at the side so is more convenient for optimum use, and also feels less bulky than other styles. There is the executive flip leather style, which is really good for protection but adds bulk on to your phone, and there is the full wrap around premium edition which covers the back and sides and is your more traditional phone case.
I actually nearly died when my case came. I couldn’t be any more in love with it! It came the day after my iPhone was meant to arrive but EE botched up my order and sent it to the wrong address, so the case was a bit of a slap in the face but that’s nothing to do with Mr Nutcase. I tried it on my boyfriend’s phone and it fit perfectly, and he was really jealous of the quality- the picture is actually printed directly on to the case, rather than a sticker picture that is then stuck on.
I’m really impressed with my case. Not only is it really cute, it highlights my love for Disney in a more sophisticated way than your average Disney inspired case would. As a student, paying £15 for a case seems pretty steep but getting a cheap one on eBay more often than not ends up with a smashed phone! The custom phone cases would make a really good present, whether it’s a picture of your pet, your family, or your best friend, or simply a really cute image you found on Pinterest, it’s a nice touch when you have no idea what to get someone.
