My WLW has been a bit absent as of lately- mainly because my weight loss was! I think I was so desperate to get rid of my Christmas pounds I just didn’t have the long term motivation to lose weight, so was trying quick fixes that failed instantly. To be honest, I have no idea why I did that. I know from experience the only way I lose weight is a healthy diet and exercise- that’s how I went from a size 14 to an 8 – 10. I guess putting on a few pounds over Christmas and losing my healthy pattern thanks to no routine just messed my head up a bit!
I’m glad to say I am back on track. I’m doing Slimming World, rogue style. What I mean by that is I haven’t joined, because it is a £60 one off payment for three months online and I do not own £60 in one go! But my step mum has done Slimming World for years, and I’ve dabbled in it, I know all the free foods and the healthy extras, know rough syns and have copious amounts of cookbooks!
So far, I’m really enjoying it. It’s nice to feel back in control of my food again, and I love cooking properly again! I used to cook properly everyday and it’s slipped in third year so I’m so glad I’m making an effort.
I will be uploading a few recipes a week that I am doing, most of them syn free or low syn, but super tasty for you non Slimming World people. And all of them simple, nothing worse than a complicated recipe that is easy to fudge up!
Here’s to hopefully a toned size 8 body by Mexico time in May!
